Hotel Mulhouse Salvator Centre

WE COMMIT

The Best Western Mulhouse Salvator Centre is committed to sustainable development

Best Western Mulhouse Salvator Centre is committed to sustainable development, as a key player in the hotel industry and fully aware of current climate issues. We are delighted to have been awarded the “Green Key” label in 2024.

We are making our customers, staff, partners and all stakeholders aware of the need to join us in this approach, not only on a day-to-day basis, but also in the medium and longer term.

Our efforts are particularly focused on the following 3 pillars:

Our waste management

We sort and treat all our waste in an appropriate way (conventional sorting of common recyclables, deposit at a waste collection center or municipal waste sorting center).
We sort out our wast and bio-waste is collected by @ReCycle. Our solid soaps are collected and treated by the association @SapoCycle to give them a second life.

We limit our waste as much as possible and no longer offer single-use products or individual packaging.

To avoid food waste, we offer @TooGoodToGo baskets of unconsummated food.

We prefer to use digital technology to avoid paper printouts wherever possible.

Our water management

Our taps are fitted with aerators to limit the flow.

We educate our staff on the proper use of water-consuming appliances (dishwashers, washing machines).

We encourage our guests to reduce the change of clean linen (towels and sheets) to minimize water consumption.
We limit the use of chemical products and prefer the most natural, low-impact cleaning products possible.
We monitor our water consumption and take care to avoid any leaks in our system.

Our energy management

We have implemented a procedure to switch off electrical appliances and lighting when our rooms are not in use.
Our public areas are equipped with presence detectors to prevent overuse of lighting.

We use only LED bulbs for our lighting.

We do not offer individual mini-bars in rooms, but use a shared refrigerator at the reception.

Last but not least, we do our utmost to deal with local partners, or to offer donations to local associations with the same values of commitment to preserving our planet!
